The Career Advantage project is an effort to specifically help out-of-school youth realize their dreams of attaining sustainable employment.

Can We Serve You?

You may be eligible for the WIOA Youth Program if you are between 17 –24 years old, meet eligibility income guidelines and possess one or more of the following barriers to employment:

 Pregnant or parent
 Homeless
 Foster care or aged out
 Ex-offender
 Disability
 Basic skills deficient in reading and/or mathematics
 English language learner
 Unemployment/lack ofmeaningful employment

Funding for the Career Advantage Program is provided by the Capital Region Workforce Partnership and the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act. The Capital Region Workforce Development Board is a federally funded collaborative effort of the jurisdictions of the Virginia Capital region which is comprised of Charles City, Chesterfield, Goochland, Hanover, Henrico, New Kent, Powhatan and the City of Richmond.
